Your Support is Crucial!

1corinthians12 7Truly, there are diverse graces, but the same Spirit.  And there are diverse ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diverse works, but the same God, who works everything in everyone. However, the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one toward what is beneficial.Certainly, to one, through the Spirit, is given words of wisdom; but to another, according to the same Spirit, words of knowledge; to another, in the same Spirit, faith; to another, in the one Spirit, the gift of healing; to another, miraculous works; to another, prophecy; to another, the discernment of spirits; to another, different kinds of languages; to another, the interpretation of words.
But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one according to His will. For just as the body is one, and yet has many parts, so all the parts of the body, though they are many, are only one body. So also is Christ.  {1 Corinthians12: 4 – 12}

All of the activities and worship opportunities in the Kouga Catholic Community have been made possible through the loyal service, dedication and financial support of the women and men of faith who have made this Parish their spiritual home.

Today, more than ever, the witness of church is needed in a world that is sick, tired and worn out by strife and bitterness, crime and violence, a breakdown in marriages and family life, the easy availability of drugs, widespread immorality and personal worry and distress.

Get involvedThrough the generosity and faith of the people who have gone before us, we have been privileged to worship in Churches or be educated in the faith, either in the Parish or at Catholic Schools, that have been provided and maintained through the sacrificial efforts of others. Now it is our turn to continue the work and mission of the Church and to take a greater part in the support of our Parish.

Our Parish is in itself a “Body of Christ”, and like any living body, it has many parts and functions. These are  all needed to keep the “Body” as a whole functioning efficiently for the greater Glory of God and to meet the needs of its many and diverse members.

For all these parts to work, for there to be a Mass every Sunday, a lot of dedicated, committed and gifted people give up their time and apply their talents on a daily basis.

Are YOU one of them?

Are you interested and willing to offer YOUR time and talents to the Lord?
